D-Day — 1944

If you’re serious about attending a Military Academy, besides the physical, mental, spiritual, and leadership expectations, ‘military’ must be central to your life. That includes knowing and understanding the military events that made America great.

Today (6/6/16) marks the 72nd anniversary of the D-Day, June 6, 1944. Today in 1944, more than 2,700 ships and craft landed troops on Normandy beaches, the largest amphibious landing in history.
