D-Day — 1944

Today (6/6/14) marks the 70th anniversary of the D-Day, June 6, 1944

Today in 1944 on D-Day, more than 2,700 ships and craft landed troops on Normandy beaches, the largest amphibious landing in history.

  1. With all the info I’ve read and posts I’ve seen, research done, etc, etc… I still can’t wrap my head around the enormity of this war!

    • The ability of our leaders to plan such a complicated process. ‘Visionary’ doesn’t begin to explain it.
