I know weekends are busy but if you have the chance watch the Army-Navy game this Saturday on CBS. This is not only a wonderful dose of Americana but a great sports rivalry played by real student athletes. When they graduate there won’t be an NFL in their future. More importantly the graduates will be officers in the military leading our young men and women on battlefields around a very dangerous world.
West Point and the Naval Academy point to this event year round and both sides will play to there full potential. A little history:
Record: Navy 56-Army 49-Tied 7
Last game: Navy 27-Army 21
CBS always has a segment on what a typical daily schedule is for the Midshipmen and the Cadet’s and it is truly amazing. All classes are demanding and the time required to complete the coursework and participate in athletics boggles the mind.
Support these Patriots.
UPDATE: The President didn’t go this year for the first time in my memory, but the VP did.
