Special Forces Operations Sergeant Regulo Zapata, Jr., spent months immersed in the fog of war along the Afghanistan and Pakistan border and the Horn of Africa, fighting the War on Terror. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 2003 after 28 years of service with the U.S. Army Special Forces.
